Geolocation Privacy Discussion

Historically, the law has supported the view that a person does not have a reasonable expectation of privacy when in a public place. However, this view is being challenged by the courts, lawmakers and regulators as both the government and the private sector are increasingly looking for ways to collect, analyze and share geolocation information for a variety of purposes. This talk will discuss the evolution of the concept of a reasonable expectation of privacy when in public, and what impact it may have on organizations that collect, use, analyze, store or share geolocation information.
